Embassy Gallery

Founded in 2004, Edinburgh's original artist-run gallery has had a fair few locations in their years. After the closure of Roxy Art House, we find them in their newest home, knee-deep in the New Town on Broughton St Lane.

EMBASSY host an ever-variable programme of exhibitions ranging from solo shows of international artists through to off site projects, and also the yearly Annuale festival, which is a city-wide celebration of emergent art, dynamic events and mad ideas.

What's most beautiful about EMBASSY is its status as a labour of love - the rolling committee of between five and seven members work on a completely voluntary basis. It also presents developmental opportunities for Edinburgh College of Art students in return for funding towards the running of the gallery and core costs.
