A glimpse of the Cat Video Festival at Glasgow Film Festival 2015

Video | 24 Feb 2015

Who can resist a good cat video? Not many of you apparently, judging by the emphatic turnout at Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art on 21 Feb for the UK premiere of the Internet Cat Video Festival, the brainchild of the prestigious Walker Art Centre, Minneapolis. The day took the form of an offline celebration of online videos about cats. The programme contained archive clips dating back to 1901, animations and shorts featuring some more familiar feline faces. As well as watching cats do cute things on the big screen, there was the chance to make your own cat mask and create fun cat toys for your furry friends at home

The video above features interviews with the day's Master of Ceremonies, XFM's Fraser Thomson, and some of the more colourful characters who made it down to GoMA, who let us in on their experience of the festival event.

Video produced by Cutscene Media Ltd. and Glasgow Film Festival.
