Twelve Triangles

Twelve Triangles is a lovely wee café and bakery just off Leith Walk on Brunswick Street. Tea and coffee is of course in plentiful supply at Twelve Triangles, but the highlight is the baking.

The homemade baked goods can only be described as things of beauty. The bread sold in the shop range from gorgeous, shiny, platted loaves to delicious sourdoughs. There’s usually a pasty or two on sale with very tempting sounding, original flavours and…there’s doughnuts.

Not just your basic jam job from Greggs, oh no. Twelve Triangles pushes the boat out in terms of doughnut flavours and offers things like chocolate caramel, coffee custard and pink grapefruit ricotta. Yum!

There’s (very) limited space to sit in this tiny café, but in the warmer months this is extended to some outdoor seating in the form of old school desks and mismatched furniture. It’s well worth a visit to indulge in the baked goods and meet the friendly staff.
