This wee family-run Indian restaurant was a Broughton Street resident well before many of its younger and trendier foodie neighbours settled down. In other words, its longevity is hard earned. And although the interior isn't really one for lingering away the hours, their curries rank among the best in the 'burgh – and they are fully licensed for all you wine-ing needs. Additionally, they offer a 10% discount on carry outs and home delivery is free within central Edinburgh. And the size of their naan bread needs to be seen to be believed.

If you've landed on our page for Khushi's because you're on a quest to find the best Indian cuisine in Edinburgh, you're on the right path. Every year The Skinny holds a Food and Drink Survey where we let you, the great Skinny readership democratically decide the best food and drink places in your region. Khushi's took home the gold within the category of 'Best of the Indian Subcontinent', along with Kismot and Tuk Tuk.

If you want to get the lowdown on all the best places to head for dinner in Edinburgh and Glasgow, check out our full lists of 2014 Food and Drink Survey winners and the 2015 Food and Drink Survey winners. Otherwise, head on over to our feature on the best world food in Scotland to find out which restaurants are best for loading up on non-Scottish fare.
