A firm favourite with local bands and punters alike, Bannermans is a laid-back bar tucked semi-underground of Edinburgh's Cowgate. Boasting an extensive and varied gig schedule, they are firm supporters of local talent and often looking for bands to fill regular slots. Karaoke Tuesdays and Open Mic Sundays are firm favourites with the regulars with hot food, real ale and an eclectic whisky collection to keep you fuelled. Bonuses include cheap pool and good banter from a (broadly) rock and indie crowd. Though the mirrored toilets may well make you regret that last flaming sambuca.
