Blue Moon Cafe
Hippy-happy boho sandwich joint in the hart of Edinburgh's gay district which has recently broadened its horizons to include juice bar and lower-level cocktail lounge. The Blue Moon Café doesn't over complicate matters when it comes to serving hearty pub grub and, having faithfully served the lunch waifs of New Town for over twenty years now, it's living proof of that old "ain't broke/don't fix" adage. There's a decent range of Euro and Middle-Eastern influenced mains on offer, all of which fall well below the £10 mark, while the Light Lunch menu sticks to lip-smacking takaway favourites such as morning rolls, focaccia breads, wraps and soups.
