With the festivals ever closer on the horizon, these might be the last few weeks we have to enjoy the (relatively) quieter side of Edinburgh before all the fun kicks off. What better way to celebrate our intimate connection to the city, with a focus on locals, than this weekend's LeithLate - a gorgeous programme of art, performance, and exhibitions taking place 30 June-2 July across venues in the neighbourhood.

Highlights from the programme, themed around Outside the Box, include Sett Studios presents: Mystery Box exhibition, showcasing art from the studio's various practitioners, Arty Party at The Biscuit Factory with live music, drag from Alicia Tryde and Guy Liner, Femmergy DJs and food trucks, and a closing evening of poetry with the likes of Eleanor Morton and Alycia Pirmohamed.
