Ahahahahahahaha it's almost August and we feel totally fine about that. The fact that we can put Fringe things in the newsletter? Normal! The fact that the busiest, maddest, most wonderful time of the year is about to kick off? Very chill!

With that said, where better to start with the festival shenanigans than one of the most reliably excellent programmes out there. Summerhall's offerings are always exciting but this particular year has knocked it out of the park: some of our favourites includes a new, physical adaptation of a Polish Romantic classic Gusła, a ferocious reinterpretation of Asian femininity and Hong Kong identity in The (Hong) Kong Girls, and even an 82-year-old, drum-banging, shamanic vulva.

As well as theatre and dance, there's also gigs, club nights, and an array of beautiful (and free!) exhibitions. Browse the programme here and start the Fringe plans now.
