  • A Play, A Pie, and a Pint: Hotdog

If you're looking to shake off any leftover winter blues, and/or you're in the mood for a meal paired with some marvellous theatre, tuck in to the spring season of A Play, A Pie, and A Pint. In addition to being the best value live theatre around – tickets start from £16, and yes, that includes a drink and a meat pie/vegan option – the Òran Mór-based company make some truly filling entertainment. This week, get yourself to Hotdog, which sees a costumed loner determined to be the life of the party, or the comically conspiratorial football play The Scaff.

Hotdog is at Òran Mór, Glasgow, 18 - 23 Mar; Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, 26 - 30 Mar; Macrobert Arts Centre, Stirling, 2 - 5 Apr. The Scaff shows at Òran Mór, Glasgow, 25 - 30 Mar; Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, 2 - 6 Apr.
