Pardon?! You haven't been to a Celtic Connections gig yet? As in, one of UK's biggest folky extravaganzas, organised specifically to lift you out of your winter hibernation and warm your cockles? Well, luckily for you there's another three-and-a-half days worth of gigs and events to go, and we're here to give you the lowdown.

On Friday Meursault celebrate their return with a gig at Hug & Pint with Faith Elliot, Pronto Mama and The Vegan Leather swing by Oran Mòr for a show and Anna Meredith plays CCA in all her kaleidoscopic multi-instrumental glory. If that's not enough to sort your musical cravings, check out our highlights for this week's live music in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Transmission, Glasgow, until 15 Feb, free
So, we’ve established the world has turned to bollocks. What now? Well, for Brooklyn-based artist, researcher, and educator Kameelah Janan Rasheed the answer is big, witty, pissed off billboards. Her series of public aphoristic large format digital prints, entitled How To Suffer Politely (And Other Etiquette) examines the performance of the ‘angelic negro’ who in the face of routinised Black deaths must eternally repress anger. See it in Transmission’s window until mid Feb.
