Last month we sort of lost our shit over Angel Olsen's new album My Woman so it's only fair we continue the jubilation in anticipation of her live show at Glasgow's SWG3 on 15 Oct. But that's far from the end of the story when it comes to gorgeous gig this week; there's also Oslo-born Jenny Hval at Stereo on 17 Oct and The Bathers at St Luke's and Electric Circus on 18 and 19 Oct respectively.

Oxjam also touches down on 15 Oct in both Edinburgh and Glasgow for its 10th festival of philanthropic fun-times. The capital brings in the likes of Numbers Are Futile, Amy Duncan and Esther Swift to play across five venues and Glasgow's line-up features The Twistettes, Boogaloo and Steve Grozier.

A visually stunning exhibition exploring the work of the Czech painter and decorative artist Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939). Through his stylish theatrical and advertising posters, the exhibition examines how ‘le style Mucha’ evolved and became synonymous with the international Art Nouveau style.

It also examines the often-hidden, skilled draughtsmanship behind Mucha’s internationally recognisable designs, and explores how his artistic philosophy influenced his later career. Alongside works by Mucha feature several objects from Glasgow Museums’ own collection; artworks that demonstrate the interchange of ideas between Scotland, the rest of the UK and continental Europe.
