Good Friday (Fri 25 Mar)

Start your Bank Holiday weekend with Glasgow Restaurant Festival's secret dining event, which kicks off this Friday. Expect guerrilla cheffing of the highest quality, all set within a Spiegeltent in the heart of the Merchant City. Various times, details at glasgowrestaurantfestival.co.uk

Later on, Glasgow power-pop trio Bis (they of Powerpuff Girls theme fame) play King Tut's Wah Wah Hut with John McKeown's freshly reformed The Yummy Fur in support (doors 8:30pm, £8), while over in Charing Cross, Glasgow label Dixon Avenue Basement Jams take over the Berkeley Suite for the evening – read our profile on label bosses Dan 'Monox' Lurinsky and Kenny Grieve for an idea of what's in store. 11pm-3am, £7.

Saturday 26 Mar

Saturday sees a fundraiser for LGBT Unity, in the form of a screening of Sean Baker's Tangerine at CCA. Filmmaking collective Digital Desperados screen the deliriously fierce and funny feature, shot entirely on an iPhone – read our interview with Baker on the trials and tribulations of shooting a film on your phone. 7pm, donations on the door.

Also on Saturday is the return of gaming night GlesGames, celebrating its first anniversary at Sloans. The night's a two-hander, with a live recording from the Games Media Award-winning Bit Socket podcast from 4pm, followed by an evening of light-hearted and/or incredibly competitive gaming on a full range of modern and retro consoles. 4pm-midnight, £10/£7

Easter Sunday (Sun 27 Mar)

There's a veritable smorgasbord of events going on in Glasgow this Easter Sunday, handily falling into a few neatly defined categories. In comedy, the handily-named Glasgow Comedy Festival comes to a close with a trio of intriguing shows. Eddie Argos, erstwhile frontman of London indie band Art Brut, presents a spoken-word evening at The Hug and Pint charting the ups and downs of musical life in typically idiosyncratic fashion. 10pm, £9.

Eleanor Morton and Joz Norris present their 2015 Edinburgh Fringe shows in a double-bill at Broadcast (5pm, £4), and comedy collective CHUNKS host their second annual 'CHUNKS of the Year' ceremony at The Griffin on Bath St, under the banner of Ms CHUNKSiverse 2016. Your guess is as good as ours on that one. 9.30pm, free.

From comedy to clubs, and the arrival of Manchester legend Mr Scruff for a six-hour stint behind the decks at the Admiral Bar. Scruff's no stranger to the all-night set, and his huge library of tunes is as versatile as it is eclectic – just look at the Christmas playlist he put together for us back in December – so expect a fun-packed evening without having to worry about work the following day. 10pm-4am, £15. From one scene veteran to another, with Chris Geddes of Belle and Sebastian's Night Owl club pitching up at Drygate for an Easter special. A mind-boggling evening of retro tunes awaits. 10pm, £5.

One other event to note takes place at the Art School – Broad Daylight's Easter all-dayer features a host of live bands, DJ sets, cult cinema (including a screening of John Frankenheimer's lost classic Seconds) and a chance to add to (and acquire from) the GSA zine collection. 3pm-10pm, £5.
