First Look: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

Are we about to witness a film where Michael Cera plays a character other than George Michael from Arrested Development? Perhaps not, but Scott Pilgrim certainly appears to have some cojones.

This is the second trailer, which was only released after the Scott Pilgrim Facebook page earned its 100,000th fan.

Focusing on the cuter aspects of the film, Cera's gone all goopy and puppy-lovey on us… until the battle of the ex-boyfriends commences. It's Kill Bill meets Streetfighter in this distinctly fresh cinematic arcade experience.

Edgar Wright's direction looks to empower the film with his signature dark yet colourful frenetic energy. There's a total lack of pretence to this combination of comic book devices and mobile camerawork. Old school Batman Pows and thwacks abound.
