EastEnd Cabaret: Dirty Talk @ Underbelly Cowgate

Preview by Eric Karoulla | 31 Jul 2013

Winners of the Best Cabaret act at the Adelaide Fringe of 2012, EastEnd Cabaret are back in Edinburgh with a brand new show.

Featuring completely new material as well as a few old favourites – namely Danger Wank – Dirty Talk promises to be sexual, funny, and includes tiny sex robots. Furthermore, EastEnd Cabaret thoroughly take advantage of the conversational nature of live performance to meet their audience up close and intimate. Audience participation is part of the fun – if you don’t like interacting with performers, or being on stage, this is not the show for you. Either way, it is hard to imagine a dull night out if they are involved.

For those unfamiliar with the cabaret duo, EastEnd Cabaret consists of Bernadette Byrne and Victor Victoria, her personal freak and musical accompanist. Affectionately known as Bernie and Victy, they have a loyal following of fans known as the Half Moustache Army. Whether travelling the globe or living in their bedsit populated mostly by instruments (to Victy's joy), they enjoy the simple things in life, like talking about sex, gin and accordions.
