Game Designers Unite

Never fear, techies, there’s a place to dodge the rain and indulge in all things digital at the festival this month. BAFTA is hosting a workshop for video game nuts from 12-16, all part of the Dare Protoplay. This session will show aspiring designers how games are put together, how robots get their instructions, and get firsthand insider details from industry experts. Attendees will be able to plan their very own video game in groups (no programming experience required).

The workshop is taking place as part of the BAFTA Young Game Designers competition, going on through 18 October. If you have the chops, there are some amazing prizes to be won for creating the next digital best-seller.

The workshop will take place from the 13-15 Aug, starting at 1.30pm, at The Exchange in Edinburgh. Tickets are £70. To purchase tickets or for further information, go to www.daretobedigital.com/events/event.hp?id=7
