Metroid Prime Pinball(Nintendo)£29.99

Might be one to borrow rather than buy<br/>

Game Review by Steve Adams | 09 Aug 2007
After Samus Aran's recent outing on the DS, Metroid Prime:Hunters, Nintendo have gone a bit mad and turned the original Metroid Prime on its head and made a pinball game out of it. Strangely, it works. In your Ball mode, Samus Aran battles bosses, collects artifacts and plays over six of the original levels from the Gamecube, while getting smacked about a bit by flippers. Is it any good though? Well… Yeah it is. It's rather fun for about half an hour, or a quick blast, but there's not enough here to keep you playing for hours. Nintendo have decided to bundle a Rumble Pak with the game, which you fit to the bottom of your DS, but frankly, it's more annoying than anything so you'll end up taking it out. It's also pretty easy, and you'll finish it in about an hour, even taking out the Metroid Prime itself in about ten minutes. You can go back and play individual levels, or continue with multi-mission, but you'll end up playing the same levels over and over again. Fun for a while then, but it's really a pick up for a quick play title. If you can get it cheap enough, great, if not, might be one to borrow rather than buy. [Steve Adams]
