Kirby Mouse Attack(Nintendo)

great for kids and fans of really cute things

Game Review by Dave Cook | 09 Aug 2007
Kirby games haven't changed that much since the pink blob appeared on the NES years ago. Each installment varied just enough to justify calling them sequels. Thankfully the Prince of Dreamland's new outing is the biggest step away from the series' roots yet. With his favourite cake (yes you read it right!) stolen from right under his eyes Kirby finds his kingdom overrun by mice pirates. Thus begins a colourful platform adventure with plenty of humour and sickeningly cute graphics. Stealing the abilities of enemies is the key to the game. Sucking up a bear for example will grant Kirby sharp claws and a furry coat; likewise a guard will give him a trusty sword to use against his foes. Mixing abilities via the touch screen can cook up some interesting combinations and gives the game just enough longevity to make it a fresh addition to the series - great for kids and fans of really cute things.
