Model Daul Kim has died

20-year-old model Daul Kim's body was found in her Paris apartment yesterday. The South Korean model appears to have committed suicide, although the cause of her death has not been confirmed.

Her agency Next said in a statement: “She was a top model and a great friend to all of us at Next. Please respect her family's privacy at this time of sadness. We will all miss her very much.”

Daul was a favourite with many designers, including Chanel, Dries van Noten, Peter Pilotto and Christopher Kane, who featured her in an online film to promote his Topshop collection.

She made her debut in 2007, and had appeared in several editions of Vogue magazine worldwide.

She was also a painter and filmmaker, and kept her own blog. Her last post on the internet site was on Wednesday.
