If ever the music industry needed to take one long, hard, fucking look at itself it's now. Yet record company executives are content to linger in a pool of self-congratulatory jizz for transforming indie into profit-spinning, tuneless dirge like The Teenagers. Make no mistake, the Parisian trio's new single Scarlett Johansson is god-awful, ear-bleeding shite - it's the sort of target-market driven filth that engulfs your heart with rage. But it's all immaterial, because the ones upon whom we should bestow our venom are sitting smugly at the top sipping champagne. Sadly, they're the few who'll benefit from this. [Billy Hamilton]
