The Dykeenies - Stitches

Ooh. There's hype a-brewin' alright. These Cumbernauld boys have cooked up a melodic concoction of anthemic broth that's bubbling over with heart-string tugging chord changes, a festival-friendly winner of a sing-a-long chorus and a tasteful nod to the epic with thick slops of string arrangements. Stitches showcases music in a similar vein to Snow Patrol's but with the genuine feeling and enthusiasm evident in Brian Henderson's voice - this shows Lightbody and Co up for the over-egged swill they are.
