Raymond & Maria - It Could've Been You

At long last, after a slew of Swedish pretty boys strumming their acoustic guitars, along come two Swedish pretty girls - and they both like strumming their guitars too. And how pretty that strumming is as well. UK debut single It Could've Been You is a pleasant little ditty that floats folkily along for three-odd minutes, saying nothing in particular; all 'la la la' vocals and fragile harmonies. Like a vacant Cardigans but, y'know, nicer. Nothing too demanding, but then who says that simplicity is taboo when it comes to producing a nice wee tune. [Pete Ballantine]
