Triptych luvvies Plantlife are back with new single Love Toy to push their forthcoming album Time Traveller due out in June. Love Toy is a heady mix of Prince and NERD, with a sprinkling of Gnarls Barkley thrown in for good measure. The guitar-tinged melodies and erotic vocals climax in an ejaculation of electrofunk and grinding rhythms. Take It Off is an electro disco number which kicks the single up a notch with its driving rhythms and fat bassline. This one should drive the electrohop dancefloors into a frenzy. They Pay Me 4 This has a slow, funky groove and is full of slutty lyrics and guitar licks which will have the loins quiverring. Given his penchant for naughty electrofunk pop it is perhaps unsurprisingly main man Jack Splash has recently been on production duties for other naughty electrofunk pop-types Beyonce, Estelle, Missy Elliot and Raheem DeVaughn.
