Innerpartysystem - Don't Stop

Single Review by Ryan Drever | 12 Feb 2009
Single title: Don't Stop
Artist: Innerpartysystem
Label: Island/Fallout records
Release date: 9 Feb

Originally released last year, Don't Stop is another mash-up of rock and electronics that attempts to explore darker territory. Crammed with fat synths, dity electro beats and processed vocals - despite ticking most boxes - the end result sounds like a much less disturbing Nine Inch Nails which falls flat despite a breakbeat chorus. There is no shortage of soaring vocals and danceable beats here but not only has it all been done before, it's definitely been done a lot better. This will no doubt be a hit at 'Alternative' club nights but it's not a revolutionary effort, by any stretch. [Ryan Drever]
