When it comes to cheesy dance artist names, mainland Europe is certainly a top exporter. The latest offender is Funkerman, a Dutch Producer who is “ready for world domination.” The moniker makes him sounds a bit like a superhero with the mission to make you get your groove on but unfortunately this track doesn’t really live up to expectations. The inoffensive dance-pop grows stale very quickly, so that even from the very first time you listen this, it sounds like you’ve heard it far too many times already. Vocalist I-fan has definitely been taking lessons from the Justin Timberlake school of falsetto smoothness, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but unfortunately any single in which the hook line is “I want you behind my bedroom doors,” is pretty hard to take seriously.
