Enjoy Destroy - Little Dream

The title track from Guildford quartet Enjoy Destroy's upcoming debut LP is a short burst of emotionally charged rock that never truly convinces. This group are massively ambitious, but at present haven't managed to transfer their potential on to record. The melancholic introduction, with Freddie's voice compelling us to act now "As soon this will be gone," promises much. The loud/soft dynamic lacks crunch, however, so that when the guitars arrive it all feels a bit dreary. Then, before you know it, the song suddenly begins to fade out, with little achieved in its duration. Enjoy Destroy are better than this, but they need to prove it. [Neal Parsons]
