Craig David - Officially Yours

This is being hailed as David’s return to form [WTF? Can I get a rewind? Ed]. That’s not to imply that his recent releases have been bad in any way. Rather, they have simply lacked the energy and vitality that made his debut, Born To Do It, such a treat. David’s voice has never sounded richer or more resonant. The rawness re-affirms his garage roots and also reminds both him and us that the money machine’s not the only reason for putting records out these days. It has an insidiously sexy quality that ensures it’ll catch the ears of all sundry around it.
