Coheed and Cambria - Feathers

Has 'anthem' engraved in its middle like a stick of rock

Single Review by Neal Parsons | 06 Mar 2008
Single title: Feathers
Artist: Coheed and Cambria
Label: Columbia
This first release from No World For Tomorrow, released last October, finds Coheed and Cambria in increasingly emo territory. Whilst the album itself continues the saga, Feathers has Claudio Sanchez in more confessional mode. As a result this is probably the first single they have released that truly sounds like one. The chorus has 'anthem' engraved in its middle like a stick of rock, and there's even a solo that in more innocent times would surely have brought lighters out in numbers. For devotees this should hit all the right buttons, and it's radio friendly enough to bring in a few new faces too. [Neal Parsons]
