Autocolt - Demo 01

Autocolt are three promising young urchins, full of a dark, syrupy brand of piss and vinegar, who produce violent jolts of filthy repetition. Echoes of Suicide, BRMC and the criminally ignored We Are Wolves are present in these two sharp punches to the nose. During the - still admirable - first track, Resonator, it's not difficult to imagine how some epileptic analogue synths might augment their sound. However, its counterpart, The Serpentine, is a beauty of a motorik glam stomper that would sound bloody magic at a volume set to stun in some soiled basement. Surely the aural equivalent of snakebite and black spilled down a stinking leather jacket. [Matt Gollock]
