Appleblim & Peverelist - Circling

The latest release on Skull Disco sees two of Bristol’s Dubstep kingpins (Apple Pips and Punch Drunk label bosses) deliver one of the deepest, darkest and true killer 12s from the Dub/Tech camp to date. As two of the main contributors to the Berlin-UK hook up, they draw influence from the likes of Basic Channel, Burial Mix and T++, serving up some of the best contemporary electronic music out there. On the A, you have Circling, a seriously heavy and atmospheric cut that fuses Berlin texture and UK programming in a truly unique fashion. On the B is Over Here, a much more hazy, spacious production; hypnotic and dubbed out, making the most of them there spaces. Another standout release from the Bristol lads. [Steve Glencross]
