The Bronx - Young Bloods

3/5 stars
Single review by Allan Valente.

With the first single from their third album, L.A quintet The Bronx display more of the aggressive punk rock that started a bidding war between labels for their signature in 2002. While Young Bloods is rowdy without ever really being adventurous, it’s actually not a bad song. The band are obviously looking to appeal to fans of the post-hardcore genre but this has a chorus which could get the toes of any music fan tapping. There is no pretension or mystery here; this is furious rock and those looking for innovation and a degree of subtlety should look elsewhere. [Allan Valente]
