Those Dancing Days - Those Dancing Days

4/5 stars
Pop, pop, and away
Single review by Neil Ferguson.

Stockholm's Those Dancing Days have been causing more than a ripple on the surface of the Swedish music world. On the evidence of their eponymously titled debut UK single it's no wonder. This is pop, pop, pop all the way. Strange, effervescent and just a little wacky, it takes the best from the girl group mould and pours it into a quirky, euro-pop sound. Like Bis fused with The Polysics, with plenty of humming Hammond Organ and a touch of Scandinavian savvy all the way through, this is a perfectly crafted antidote to a pop world typically found so lacking in fun.
