Rumble Strips - Hate Me/Girls & Weather (Transgressive) **** (ALEX _ THIS IS AN OLD SINGLE BURY IT PLEASE) ****

3/5 stars
a fun fest of sax
Single review by Katy Whitelaw.

Oh, it's Razorlight! Oh. No it's not. Hate Me has the same horse gallop start as Somewhere Else before turning into a fun fest of sax (Tom Gorbutt, Ska and brass). Girls & Weather starts as a melancholy, lost, wet weekend of women and rain. Closer listening will uncover a humourous underside with a panto/ school show quality. After proclaiming "She is filing me away - under waste of space", lead singer Charlie Waller finally gets practical and buys an umbrella to protect himself. [Katy Whitelaw]
