Enjoy Destroy - Enjoy Destroy EP

Contains enough moments of real astute writing to suggest that these guys could learn from their predecessors' mistakes

Album title: Enjoy Destroy EP
Artist: Enjoy Destroy
Label: Fire One Records
Release date: 6 Oct

Enjoy Destroy play the kind of music that drives adolescent girls in pink and black stockings to graffitti jotters. Vex Red, Biffy Clyro and InMe have all done well with similarly earnest, husky slabs of grunge pop. The more adventurous Biffy excepted, the common pitfall for recent purveyors of this sound has been to rely too heavily on a couple of strong singles then release albums of pure filler. This debut EP contains enough moments of real astute writing to suggest that these guys could learn from their predecessors' mistakes, though at present they're unlikely to blow any minds with their 4/4 timing and power-chord fixations. Enjoy Destroy play The Barfly, Glasgow on 12 Oct
