Track Premiere: Ubre Blanca vs Errors – 'Genuflection'
Ubre Blanca – the Glasgow duo comprised of Remember Remember drummer Andy Brown and Joel Stone (formerly of cult dance-punks Shitdisco) – present this twist on 'Genuflection' by their current touring partners Errors. The original version appeared on Errors' recently released fifth LP, Lease of Life.
Both bands pull into Aberdeen's Lemon Tree tonight, before winding up their extensive lap of the UK at Glasgow's Art School tomorrow evening (11 April).
Unveiling the remix, Brown remarks: "We wanted to make the track sound dirty and dark – the original was a widescreen savanna landscape of African planes and arpeggiated rhythms, we wanted to take the song back into the city, the backstreets and alleyways, make it dark but keep it's sense of grandiosity."
