Elevator Suite are a three-piece, down-tempo act whose ambient lounge grooves echo Groove Armada and former tourmates Morcheeba, though the comparisons are not always so obvious on this remix compilation. The disc kicks off with two remixes of Time After Time, and the first, courtesy of Aquasky, is a noisy, stuttering and grinding peak-time anthem. This is swiftly followed up by Joyski's reshape, and is a tense minimal workout that recalls Carl Craig and Booka Shade. Although there’s nothing else on this to match the rush of these two stormers, there’s shades of invention and excitement, such as the Melophonic remix of the same track, which wraps a guitar loop over a pulsating disco strut. Each remix is deserving of merit, but as an album, it’s a jumbled listen that covers too many styles to be cohesive. There’s definitely something for everyone here, but perhaps it's not enough for anyone.
