Gnarls Barkley - 'St Elsewhere'

Album title: 'St Elsewhere'
Artist: Gnarls Barkley
Label: Downtown/Warner
This collaborative effort between Goodie Mob founder member, Cee Lo and producer extraordinaire Danger Mouse has been eagerly awaited and by no means does it disappoint. As you may expect from such a duo, the album has an eclectic style but never strays too far from its hip hop roots. It's like a damn tasty cocktail from your favourite bar. Cee Lo throws together all manner of themes, from necrophilia to feng shui, adds a sprig of mint and tosses the shaker on to Dangermouse. In go a sparkling array of beats, cuts and studio trickery with a twist of lime. Shaken well and poured over ice. Garnished with this year's best single Crazy, an unlikely but brilliant Violent Femmes cover and a swizzle stick and presto, you have one fabulous concoction. Barman, another St Elsewhere here! This album is released on April 24.
