Loki - Friendly World

He's open as hell about the way he feels about everything, and more importantly, he's a lot better at this rap shizzle than he thinks

Loki wants you to hear his album. You can tell for sure, because it's free... He's an accomplished MC, well aware of how his own dialect sounds and willing to use that knowledge. It's also endearing as hell. He turns his lyrics on himself at least as much as they are turned to other people, taking himself to task and holding his life up to the light of his skills. His skits sound like real 2am phone calls to first time listeners, pulled from his collaborator's voicemail, and when you hear him decide to scrap his own album on the album, it's hard not to get onside with the narrator character he's crafting. He's open as hell about the way he feels about everything, and more importantly, he's a lot better at this rap shizzle than he thinks. [Dalai Dahmer]
