A four year gap between records is nothing in some circles, but in the world of Michigan's Saturday Looks Good to Me, it's almost an eternity. Driven by songwriter and producer Fred Thomas, the bittersweet-pop band released an impressive amount of music in a short period of time considering its high turnover of members. The latest line-up only got together last year and One Kiss Ends It All sounds suitably energised, with a breezy spontaneity coursing through its veins.

New vocalists Carol Catherine and Amber Fellows bring another dimension, but it's the cameo appearence of former lead singer Betty Barnes that steals the show on the wonderfully idiosyncratic The Ever-Present Times Condition. Thomas will never use one studio technique when six will do, and the regular switching between echo and reverb vocal effects might put off some, but this remains a welcome return from a band clearly on rejuvenated form.
