Miike Snow @ Stereo, 4 Feb
Songwriting duo Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg are responsible for some of Madonna and Kylie Minogue’s latest hits. Hell, they even won Britney Spears a Grammy for Toxic, but let's not hold that against them. After all, they saw the error of their ways and formed the formidable Miike Snow with American Andrew Wyatt. The trio are equally at home delivering intelligent, heart-wrenching ballads as they are stomping out infectious electronic pop anthems. Don’t be surprised if single Black and Blue induces dance floor hysteria. Looks like the pop diva superpowers might need to tap somebody else's production talent for any future chart success. Report to moderatorI had a similar reprimanding by Ally Brown for scoffing at its inclusion in the Pitchfork 500!
