The latest instalment of our Music team's regular playlist also features Adam Stafford, Gasp, Alias, Machinedrum, Lorde, Son Lux and much more

On this week's Cloud Sounds, a weekly playlist of new music curated by The Skinny, we feature some of the best new emerging music from Scotland with tracks from Adam Stafford and Gasp, and beyond - with a new remix from the legendary DJ Shadow; Arcade Fire covering a Prince classic; De La Soul rapping on a J. Dilla beat; and pop sensation Lorde collaborating with visionary NYC producer Son Lux. As an added bonus, a good proportion of this week's playlist is available for free download - get your new music fix here!

We kick off with a track from Anticon mainstay Alias - he has released the Indiiggo EP for free this week via his Soundcoud page, to whet appetites for his forthcoming full-length album, Pitch Black Prism. The title track features vocals from Therese Workman. After that we have the first new track from avant garde electronic wizard Oneohtrix Point Never since last year's R Plus 7, his debut for Warp. The track Music For Steamed Rocks will feature on 0PN's Record Store Day release, Commissions I

DJ Shadow remixes obscure Dutch prog band Supersister next, and once again Shadow's taking on some influences from the juke / footwark end of the beat spectrum. A slice of pitch-dark, twisted R&B from newly Ninja Tune-signed producer Lee Bannon comes next, offered up as a free download as a thank you to his fans. After that, we have some freaked out lo-fi jazz-funk from London's Polar Bear, and a remix of Klapp Klapp by Swedish alternative pop gang Little Dragon, from in-demand Night Slugs bass warrior Girl Unit

Next up, an old Skinny favourite - Adam Stafford performs Cold Seas live in session for Song, By Toad - that's available to download too. Black Moth Super Rainbow front-man Tobacco presents his new single for Ghostly next, a slice of vocoder-assisted dirty R&B. Then we're into a new track from the increasingly vital Glasgow rapper Gasp, spitting harsh verses over a low-slung bues riff - you can cop that as a download as well.

Following on from their bonanza albums giveaway last month, De La Soul offer up a new track from the vaults, in the form of a collaboration with the late, great J. Dilla. Next, it's the return of Hercules & Love Affair, whose new album The Feast of the Broken Heart is out on 16 May. Then Machinedrum's eyesdontlie gets the remix treatment from Teklife footwork don DJ Earl, and Lorde teams up with Son Lux for a heart-stopping re-version of Easy, from the astonishing album Lanterns.

To finish things off, Chicago's Owls offer up the first track from new album Two, out 25 March. And finally, Arcade Fire deliver a blistering live cover version of 80s Prince classic Controversy. Check out the whole playlist below, and follow The Skinny on SoundCloud to keep up to date with our favourites.
