Warpaint’s Jenny Lee Lindberg announces solo album

Lindberg has released a YouTube trailer for the album, titled right on! – watch the short film, which features excerpts from three of the album's ten tracks, in the player below.

Lindberg's fellow Warpaint member Stella Mozgawa features on the album, as do Broken Bells guitarist Dan Elkan and one-time Mark Lanegan drummer Norm Block. Speaking to The Skinny earlier this year, Lindberg revealed that, in addition to the first jennylee record, plans are afoot for a new Warpaint record. Lindberg said: "We’ve been writing and trying to build a catalogue so we have as many options and songs as possible. The fun part is working out where they all belong. We’re just writing every day, everyone’s writing at their own studio at home... Everyone‘s sending each other tracks to record over."

Warpaint's self-titled second album topped The Skinny's Albums of 2014 chart; the band returned to the UK for a run of shows this spring, as well as releasing a handful of freshly-recorded tracks.
