Warehouse Project 2016 line-up revealed

The line-up for this year's Warehouse Project series of gigs and club nights in Manchester has been announced. 

Warehouse Project 2016 kicks off its 15-week run with an opening party at its Store Street Warehouse home on 23 September, headlined by M.I.A., with a WHP-presented headline show from Moderat at the Albert Hall on 28 Sep. Among this year's highlights are a WHP vs Ninja Tune night on 28 Oct, featuring DJ sets from Bonobo and Jon Hopkins alongside Maribou State, Romare and Gilles Peterson, and a Mastermix show programmed by Jackmaster and Numbers featuring Denis Sulta, Marcel Dettman and a back-to-back set from Ricardo Villalobos and Seth Troxler on 5 Nov. 

Elsewhere Danny Brown heads the bill for The Ape's night on 11 Nov, which also features Wiley and producer Clams Casino (whose credits include tracks by fka Twigs, Schoolboy Q and Vince Staples), while Manchester-based crew Levelz celebrate their third birthday on 15 Dec. Instrumental hip-hop forefather DJ Shadow presents his new album The Mountain Will Fall with a host of special guests at Old Granada Studios on 2 Nov, with support from Brainfeeder producer Lapalux and fresh-faced Lancaster duo Bondax. 

The line-up also features a host of artist-curated nights at Store Street; grime supremo Skepta showcases some of the best in the UK scene on 2 Oct, Four Tet's night on 22 Oct sees sets from Leon Vynehall, Nina Kraviz and Ben UFO plus a live show from Floating Points, and Flume's night on 18 Nov includes live sets from SG Lewis and Tourist alongside Julio Bashmore and Moxie.
