The Melvins have announced the release of new album Basses Loaded on 3 Jun, which sees them team up with a series of guest bassists including Nirvana's Krist Novoselic.

Other guests on the album include Butthole Surfer JD Pinkus (who previously collaborated with the band on 2014's Hold It In), Jared Warren (of KARP and Big Business, and an on/off member of the Melvins since 2006), Trevor Dunn (of Mr. Bungle and Fantomas, also spotted on Melvins Lite's 2012 effort Freak Puke) and Steven McDonald (of Redd Kross and OFF!). Melvins drummer Dale Crover also steps out from behind the kit to pick up the bass, as on 2013's Tres Cabrones.

This will be their second LP of 2016, following the 1 April release of Three Men And A Baby through Sub Pop. Also a collaborative effort, this album is released under the name Mike & The Melvins, and features Mike Kunka of godheadSilo and Enemymine on bass and vocals.

Basses Loaded will be released via Ipecac on 3 Jun. Read the full track list below, and stream a new track featuring Steven McDonald here:
