10 YEARS OF WARP FILMS
Warp Films launched back in 2002 with the Chris Morris short My Wrongs 8245  8249 and 117, and in the decade since then, they have been involved in funding and producing material by directors such as Richard Ayoade, Shane Meadows, Lynne Ramsay and Paddy Considine. To celebrate, the British Film Institute is running a series of screenings to celebrate the anniversary, including a live re-scoring of Dead Man's Shoes by musicians including Jah Wobble and members of UNKLE, and other one-off events, including showings of Warp Films classics such as Submarine and Tyrannosaur.

Long before Warp Films launched, the label was known for its innovative and ground-breaking music videos, bringing to light early work by directors such as Chris Cunningham, and more recently, work by artists such as Kahlil Joseph, who directed the promo for Flying Lotus's Until The Quiet Comes. These and other Warp music videos will be screened in a special event at the BFI on 12 April. Tickets for the event went on sale yesterday. Check out some classic Warp videos below.

STANZA: THE DIGITAL POETRY TRAIL
A bold new digital poetry project launches tomorrow in St. Andrews, as part of the StAnza Poetry Festival. The ambitious project, called the Digital Poetry Trail, will archive a poem by every single poet who has ever lived, studied or worked in St. Andrews. Users will access the poems using QR codes, which will be placed in strategic locations around the city. By scanning the codes, users will access audio recordings of the poets reading their work, or contemporary poets reading work by significant poets of the past, along with biographical information placing the poems in a historical and geographical context.

Featured poets include John Burnside, Don Paterson and Douglas Dunn. Festival Director Eleanor Livingstone talked about the range of nationalities who would be visiting this year's festival, stating: "It’s fitting that we can let everyone explore St Andrews in such an innovative way, by linking poetry and place." The StAnza Festival runs until 10 March, and also features readings by poets such as John Hegley and Scots Makar Liz Lochhead.

NEW MUSIC: RUSTIE, SQUAREPUSHER, GHOSTFACE KILLAH, IGGY & THE STOOGES, NEON NEON, BIBIO PHOSPHORESCENT
A new track by Glasgow's Rustie emerged online this week  Slasherr is his first official release since 2011's Glass Swords album. The EP, on the Numbers label, is available now as a digital download, with pre-orders for 12" vinyl now being accepted. The physical release drops on 18 March. Like the Glass Swords material, Slasherr combines hypercolour synths, post-dubstep and trap beats and a frenetic, intense series of drops. Listen below.

Sticking with Warp-affiliated artists, Squarepusher's thrilling return to the dancefloor, begun on the acclaimed Ufabulum album (reviewed here), continues with the announcement of a new EP, Enstrobia, dropping on 11 March. He debuted the lead track from the EP this week  it's a strange concoction, an uptempo funk track with pitch-bent synths that wouldn't have sounded out of place in a 90s Sega game. Have a listen to Angel Integer below.

We already gave you the heads up about Ghostface Killah's new album Twelve Reasons To Die with producer Adrian Younge  now he's unveiled a second track from the album. The Sure Shot (Parts 1 &2). He's also given out a few more tantalising details about the concept behind the album  it tells the tale of Tony Starks, a soldier for 60s-era New York mob The 12 Delucas. The album is due on 16 April. Stream and download the track below.

A new track from the eagerly-anticipated new abum by Iggy & The Stooges, Ready To Die (due out 30 April), has been released online. Touted as a direct follow-up to their seminal 1973 classic Raw Power, the album reunites Iggy with original Stooge Scott 'Rock Action' Asheton, Raw Power era guitarist James Williamson and Mike Watt. Stream Burn below. Sign up for the new Iggy & The Stooges newsletter, and you'll get a free download of an exclusive, unheard live track as well.

We previously announced the forthcoming second album by Neon Neon, the DeLorean-obsessed collaboration between Boom Bip and Gruff Rhys of the Super Furry Animals, Their follow-up to 2008's Mercury-nominated Stainless Style, due out 29 April, will be called Praxis Makes Perfect, and you can stream the first track from the album below. Mid Century Modern Nightmare features guest vocals from Asia Argento, and is about Italian publisher and activist Giangiacomo Feltrinelli. "It's a protest against the stylistic mid-20th century cultural stranglehold that continues to clog up our pop culture and strangle our forward-minded spirits to this day," Gruff Rhys told The Guardian recently. For an in-depth discussion with the band about their debut album, read our interview online.

Lauded producer for Warp and Mush Records, Bibio has a new album out on 13 May. We absolutely loved his second album for Warp, Bokeh, back when we reviewed it in 2011. The new album, entitled Silver Wilkinson, sees Bibio exploring new dimensions in sound. First single A Tout L'Heure was recorded in the artist's garden: "It felt morally wrong to be hidden away indoors," he explains. "I still had the urge to make music so I limited myself to a few bits of gear and set up in my garden: a 12 string guitar, an MPC sampler, a microphone and a cassette recorder. I drummed on objects in the garden, like a plastic watering can and 'snipped' garden shears for percussion parts." Hear the results below!

Finally, alt.country star Phosphorescent's follow-up to 2011's Here's To Taking It Easy (reviewed here) sees him experimenting with electronic sounds (read our review here). To preview the album in its entirety, visit NPR music. Here's a video from music blog The Line Of Best Fit, showing Phosphorescent in session performing thie track Cocaine Lights.

NEW VIDEOS: BODUF SONGS, GASP & PHYSIKS, MISTER LIES
Boduf Songs, the project of Southampton-based singer/songwriter Mat Sweet, have released a new video for the track A Brilliant Shaft Of Light From Out Of The Night Sky, taken from the album Burnt Up On Re-entry. The video, which blends shots of the night sky with cosmic footage of planets, space exploration and footage from telescopes, showcases the gentle, electronica-tinged alt.folk that is Sweet's stock-in-trade.

Glasgow-based hip-hop artists Gasp and Physiks have a new video out, premiering the first track from their forthcoming collaborative album. Drinkin' hand features beats by producer Konchis. In the video, Gasp and Physiks dabble in some black magic, with dire consequences...

Mister Lies releases his debut album Mowgli on 1 April. The young Chicago-based producer makes ethereal, multi-layered post-dubstep, with treated vocals floating in an amniotic haze of treated synths, found sounds and field recordings. Watch the video for the first track from the album, Hounded, below, and stream the entire album here.

FESTIVAL WATCH: PRINCE FOR GLASTONBURY? PLUS: MBV JOIN OFF & BERLIN FEST, PLISSKEN FESTIVAL, RADSTOCK, THE GREAT ESCAPE, FORBIDDEN FRUIT, GREEN MAN
Although still only a rumour at this stage, news has reached The Skinny that tiny purple pop superstar Prince will be joining the bill at this year's Glastonbury Festival (26-30 June). The rumours, reported by The 405, also name the Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac as possible headliners for the event, the line-up for which is still a closely-guarded secret. The festival is already sold out.

Absolutely confirmed however is the news that shoegaze pioneers My Bloody Valentine will be joining the bill at Poland's OFF Festival (2-4 Aug), alongside the likes of Deerhunter, AlunaGeorge, The Walkmen and Laurel Halo. They will also play at this year's Berlin Festival (6-7 Sep), alongside Blur and Pet Shop Boys, and recently confirmed acts M.I.A. and Ellen Allien.

A break from the normal place or fun-themed festival names comes in the form of Plisskën Fest (16-19 May) taking place in Athens, Greece, presumably named for Kurt Russel's one-eyed anti-hero from the John Carpenter classic Escape From New York. Their lineup for 2013 is an absolute beast  they've got Death Grips, ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Egyptian Hip Hop, XXYYXX and The Haxan Cloak, among others. Details and tickets here.

Radstock (30 Mar) meanwhile is a one-day mini-festival happening at the O2 Arena in Liverpool, with sets from the likes of Natives, Sonic Boom Six, The Blackout, Straight Lines, Blitz Kids and Bury Tomorrow. Details and tickets here.

The Great Escape (16-18 May) is Brighton's annual showcase for new and emerging musical talent, often thought of as the UK's most convincing answer to South By Southwest. With protest movement stalwart Billy Bragg taking the headline slot, the festival features a huge lineup of up-and-coming and cult bands, including CHVRCHES, DIIV, Ed Harcourt, How To Dress Well, The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Tall Ships and the above-mentioned Phosphorescent. Check out the gigantic lineup here.

Another city-based music festiva worth a visit is the star-packed Forbidden Fruit (1-2 Jun) in Dublin  they've got Primal Scream, Kasabian, Crystal Castles, James Blake, Neon Neon, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Chic and Four Tet lighting up the Irish capital. Details and tickets here.

Finally, a few additions to the lineup for Green Man (15-18 Aug)  the headliners will be Michael Gira's Swans, Midlake, and John Cale, all of which are UK festival exclusives. The full lineup is here.
