FESTIVAL WATCH: T IN THE PARK, THE GREAT ESCAPE, FOUND ELECTRONIC MUSIC FEST, WICKERMAN, SUNRISE: ANOTHER WORLD, SONAR, LATITUDE
T-in-the-Park (12-14 Jul) gained another couple of big-hitters late last week, with the announcement that Odd Future leading lights Tyler, the Creator, Frank Ocean and Earl Sweatshirt will be added to the bill. Hoping to join the Golf Wang stars at Balado this year will be a raft of up-and-coming Scottish musicians - their last chance to apply for the T-Break stage is this week, as the competition closes on 29 March at midnight. Details here. Visit the T in the Park site for full lineup and tickets.

The Great Escape (16-18 May) in Brighton has an impressive lineup this year, with headliners Everything Everything joined by The Klaxons, who will be debuting new material. Some other names on the bill are A*M*E, Deap Valley, Oddisee, JC Satan and Sega Bodega, in a lineup that puts the emphasis on emerging talent. Details and tickets here.

A one-day festival making its debut this year, brought to you by the organisers of the Shoreditch Street Party, is the FOUND Electronic Music Festival (15 Jun), taking place at Haggerston Park, London. Wickerman Festival (26-27 Jul) has announced its lineup for the Solus Tent, which features new and emerging artists - it's another strong lineup this year, with some Skinny favourites in the mix, such as Honeyblood, Fat Goth, Roman Nose, TeKlo, RUNGS, Fake Major, Machines In Heaven, Kayce One, Toni Smoke, and Vukovi. Details and tickets here.

Sunrise: Another World (30 May - 2 Jun), a festival with a strong eco-friendly focus, featuring workshops and events about sustainability and eco-politics alongside its lineup of bands, has announced this year's location - Thoulstone Park, Chapmanslade, Wiltshire (near Bath). WATCH: J.DILLA 'CRATE DIGGERS' DOCUMENTARY
Released online this week, a new documentary about seminal hip-hop producer J. Dilla, produced by Fuse TV, explores the late, great beatsmith's vinyl collection, and talks to his friends and collaborators about the crate digging habits of one of hip-hop's most influential beat-junky. The documentary's release was swiftly followed by an announcement from Moodymann's Mahogani label - they will be releasing the third posthumous Dilla album, under the title Dilla: Lost Tapes, Reels and More, on 10 April. Previews of the tracks are already up on Juno

NEW VIDEOS: SIGUR ROS, GOLDEN GRRRLS, BOBBY WOMACK, THE THERMALS, CAPTAIN MURPHY, OUTFIT
Sigur Rós unveiled their new video last week for Brennistein, the first track to be taken from their eagerly-anticipated new album Kveikur, set for release in June. The video, directed by Andrew Huang, hints at a dark and industrial direction for the new material.

Golden Grrrls, the Glasgow-based indie-pop band who copped a four-star review from us last month, have unveiled the new video for their track Take Your Time this week. Watch below, and read our interview with the band's Ruari Maclean, dicussing their formative musical influences.

A new video from legendary soul singer Bobby Womack surfaced this week, taken from his Damon Albarn co-produced album The Bravest Man in the Universe, recently re-released as an expanded edition with extra material.

The Thermals, the post-punk band from Portland, Oregon, have unveiled their new video for the track Born To Kill, taken from the forthcoming album Desperate Ground, due out 15 April, and helmed by veteran producer John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr.). The video is decidedly NSFW - prepare for violence.

Captain Murphy - the rapping alias of Brainfeeder boss Flying Lotus - revealed the spooky new video for The Killing Joke, the standout cut from his album Duality, still available as a free download, and featuring guest raps and production from Earl Sweatshirt, Jeremiah Jae, Madlib and Just Blaze. The track, which samples heavily from Christopher Nolan's Batman films, references the Alan Moore comic of the same name.

Finally, Liverpool's Outfit have revealed the video for their track Performance, taken from the forthcoming album of the same name, as part of the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology's exhibition The Art Of Pop Video, which opened last week.

NEW MUSIC: PRIMAL SCREAM, DIPLO FT. SNOOP LION & DRAKE, KURT VILE
Primal Scream, set to headline the Wickerman Festival in July, have unveiled the second single from their forthcoming album More Light, dropping on May 13. Speaking to the NME, Bobby Gillespie described the sound of the new album: "It's a rock 'n' roll record, but modern rock 'n' roll. Pretty psychedelic rock, it's kind of guitar-driven but we use guitars in an orchestral way, not in the normal way people make rock records. I think we do it in a more interesting way. We weave the guitars in with electronics and other acoustic instruments to make the core sound."

Snoop Dogg is on record as being a gun-lover - from boasts of his plans to do "a 187" on "a motherfucking cop," to his threats that he might, at any time, grab his "gat" and go "rat-a-tat-tat," he has never been one to shy away from boasting about his weaponry. That was, of course, until he began his flirtation with Rastafarianism, and became Snoop Lion. Now, he has unveiled a new track, produced by Major Lazer and featuring Drake, which demands that in future, it's strictly No Guns Allowed. A bit of a turnaround...

Finally, Kurt Vile shared a new track this week, with an interesting premise to the video - the floppy-haired ex-The War On Drugs songwriter introduces the single himself, pops it on a record deck, and then sits awkwardly while you listen. It's kind of like going round your mate's house, and him playing you his stuff while you shuffle your feet, and try and not ask any questions until he's finished. As Hannah Montana would say, "Awk-ward!" The video features Vile apologetically talking over his own music, and a stage invasion by his cute-as-a-button toddler daughter. D'awwww.

DEATH GRIPS: LOCK YOUR DOORS
Following on from the elliptical 'No Hands' videos posted last week on Death Grips' YouTube channel, the band have unveiled a sixth video in the series, which goes some way towards explaining the method and the madness behind the first five videos. Filmed on head-mounted cameras, Lock Your Doors features footage from the band's performance at SXSW, unleashing a feral version of their track of the same name. According to Zach Hill, the title 'No Hands' refers to the head-mounted cameras, and this method of filming is one the band will continue to use in the future.

LEGO STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS
"Space - the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Lego Star Ship Enterprise. Its mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations... to boldly go where no Lego man has gone before." Following on from recent Lego trailer remakes of Man of Steel and other blockbusters, the latest doing the rounds is this one, for Star Trek: Into Darkness (complete with lens flare!). We particularly like grumpy-faced Lego Cumberbatch.
