Stillhound – Bury Everything: Album Premiere

Feature by News Team | 22 Sep 2016

Listen to Bury Everything, the debut album from Edinburgh three-piece Stillhound

The Edinburgh-based trio release their first album on 23 September via Lost Oscillation Records. Fergus Cook, Laurie Corlett-Donald and Dave Lloyd already have lofty musical credentials backing their band; the LP was mastered at the hallowed Abbey Road studios, and mixing duties were taken on by Gareth Jones, who's worked on records for Depeche Mode, Interpol and Grizzly Bear.

Last week the band dropped the first video from the album. Backed up by visuals of oscillating mountain ranges, Time Enough For Love is a jaunty, atmospheric blast through the kind of angular indie-rock that kick-started careers for the likes of Foals or Alt-J, and polished with a healthy scoop of confidence. Sound good? Check out all ten tracks of Bury Everything in the player below.

Stillhound launch Bury Everything at Voodoo Rooms, Edinburgh on 22 Sep, followed by gigs at The Tooth & Claw in Inverness (23 Sep), two shows at True North Festival in Aberdeen on 24 Sep – they play a free daytime show at St Nicholas Bandstand before a support slot with Lonelady at Lemon Tree – and Mono in Glasgow (29 Sep). The band also play the 2016 Scottish Alternative Music Awards prizegiving on 12 October at The Garage, Glasgow.
