RZA's tribute to Nelson Mandela

Wu-Tang Clan's RZA has shared a track in tribute to the late Nelson Mandela. A collaboration between RZA and singer Will Wells, the track is titled Gift of Hope. It is the second collaboration between Wells and RZA – the pair also recorded a duet in tribute to the late Paul Walker, the actor from the Fast and the Furious movies, who was killed in a car accident last week.

RZA issued an all-caps statement along with the track - read it in full on his Soundcloud page. In the statement, which addresses themes of multiculturalism and unity, RZA states: "GREATER MEN HAVE PUT DOWN THEIR INDIVIDUAL STRIFE IN THE INTEREST OF BUILDING THE COLLECTIVE. THUS GREAT MEN ARE KNOWN BY THE MARK THEY LEFT ON THEIR COUNTRY MASSES... HARD WORKING MOTHERS AND FATHERS SEE THE RESULTS WHEN THE CHILDREN RAISE THEIR FAMILY TO HIGHER HEIGHTS... PLEASE ENJOY THIS DEMO THAT REFLECT THESE IDEAS..."
