Radiohead confirm new album with new track

Radiohead have confirmed a release date for their ninth album, as well as sharing the video for brand new track Daydreaming.

The eagerly-awaited new album, the band's first since 2011's King of Limbs, will be released online at 7pm on Sunday 6 May, with a physical release to follow.

Daydreaming's video is directed by acclaimed director Paul Thomas Anderson, the filmmaker behind Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood and Inherent Vice, The Skinny film team's choice as best film of 2015. Watch the clip in the player above.

Daydreaming is the second new track released by the band in the past week, mirroring the symphonic nature of Burn The Witch which was shared online on Tuesday alongside a disturbing Trumpton-esque animated video. Watch the video for Burn The Witch here. Thom Yorke and co will play their first live shows since 2012 this summer, kicking off a short European tour later this month before headline slots at a host of European festivals including Primavera Sound in Barcelona.

Radiohead's new album is out on digital platforms on Sunday 8 May from 7pm; pre-orders for the physical release also begin on 8 May – read our profile of the band in our What's On section.
