Nautilus Rising's debut release features new tracks from four Scottish producers. Cuts from Lord of the Isles (aka Neil Macdonald), Amsterdam-based Glaswegian producer Vince Watson, Alex Smoke and Stephen Lopkin all feature on the forthcoming NR001.

A key player in Glasgow's underground club scene, Sub Club celebrated its 25th anniversary back in 2012. Its flagship club night Subculture is widely recognised as the world's longest running weekly techno night, with Optimo and Slam among the clubbing heavyweights to cut their teeth at the venue.

Speaking to The Skinny ahead of the club's 25th anniversary, Optimo's JD Twitch said: "I think the Sub Club have a very, very long term view. Another thing that's important about why Subculture and Optimo lasted so long, is because although lots of great guests played, fundamentally both nights were based around residents. If you have a night where the residents are the focus, it gives the clubs an identity."

NR001 is released on vinyl on 15 October, with a digital release scheduled for November.
