Menace Beach to play Trof and The Skinny Show!

With our super special gig on 25 September with Trof at Deaf Institute now just a week away, we're delighted to reveal that our special guest headliners on the night will be Leeds-based grunge pop group Menace Beach!

The Memphis Industries-signed five-piece, based around the songwriting duo of Ryan Needham and Liza Violet, won plaudits across the board for the 90s-inspired bubblegum hooks of their debut LP Ratworld earlier this year, and they've been favourites of ours ever since we first clapped eyes on them at least year's Beacons Festival. To celebrate their EU-wide tour, which starts next week, and their forthcoming EP Super Transporterreum, the group have dropped a new video for the title track which you can get your peepers and lugs around below.

A reminder too that they'll be joined on the 25th by hypnotic psych-rockers Weirds, smart DIY outfit False Advertising and thrilling Manchester fuzz-poppers Fruit Bomb, plus DJs, all for just £3 in advance,  thanks to our ticketing partners, DICE.

We've been catching up with all our line-up in the build-up to the show, so make sure you get to know Weirds and False Advertising — with more interviews to come — before coming to join us for what's sure to be a great party with some of the best emerging acts on the northern scene.
